CASology #277

Welcome to Week 277 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

Despite the fact that I don't spend much time in bars, this is the first thing that came to mind when I saw the cue word - a round of drinks!  I was excited to get these cute glasses as a freebie with my last MFT order and I paired them with a sentiment from MFT's Uncorked collection - they're perfect for each other!

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

CASology #276

Welcome to Week 276 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

Yaaaaassss!

This is my go to cheer of celebration.  I use it in other instances too but most often as a cheer.  I use it so much that my brother gave me this for Christmas and it has pride of place in the Craft Cave.
(Apologies for the appalling photos)

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

Kitty & Poinsettias

Good morning and happy Monday!

I've got two cards to share today.  The first is for the MFT Wednesday Sketch challenge.  The stamps are from three different sets but they all work perfectly together.  During the most recent Ellen Hutson die sale I broke down and bought matching dies for almost all of my MFT cat and dog stamps.  I've generally resisted buying matching dies since I figure I can fussy cut the images and use that money for other goodies but given how often I use these stamps I decided it was a worthwhile investment.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (Textured White) Bazzill, (White) Papertrey Ink, (Lucky Limeade, Bermuda Bay) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Cat & speech bubble from I Knead You, Heart from Umbrella, Sentiment from Smitten Kitten) My Favourite Things
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento Tuxedo Black) Tsukeniko, (Calypso Coral) Stampin' Up
Dies:  (Stitched Square Scallop Edge Frame, Fishtail Flag Frames, Cat, Speech Bubble) My Favourite Things
Markers:  (RV10, C1, C3, C5) Copic
Gems:  Recollections

Next is a card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I broke out my Brushos again and created some inked papers.  I then stamped and die cut the Essentials by Ellen images from those papers and popped them up on foam tape.  I sprinkled some gems around the sentiment and added some Buttercup Liquid Pearls to the flower centres.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Watercolor) Ranger
Stamps:  (All from Mistletoe & Holly) Essentials by Ellen
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black) Tsukeniko
Dies:  (Mistletoe & Holly) Essentials by Ellen
Paint:  (Terracotta, Alizarin Crimson, Brilliant Red, Lime Green, Sea Green Brushos) Colourcraft

Black & White Christmas

Hi again!

I'm popping in quickly with a card for the Muse challenge where this week Ardyth provided the fabulous inspiration.  I stuck pretty close to Ardyth's design with white inlaid die cuts on a black background.  That swirly tree is from Whimsy stamps and the sentiment is from Reverse Confetti.  The star is cut from DCWV glitter paper.  I also made a second card with the leftover die cuts.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Basic Grey, Basic Black) Stampin' Up, (Yellow glitter) DCWV
Dies:  (Funky Christmas Tree) Whimsy Stamps, (Joy) Reverse Confetti

Reindeer & Bear

Hello hello!

I've got two cards to share today.  First up is for the Just Add "R" challenge at Just Add Ink.  I had fun arranging these Authentique papers and gave myself points for putting another (tiny) dent into the patterned paper stash.  The reindeer is from Essentials by Ellen and I thought he needed a little jingle bell for just a bit more holiday cheer.

Next up is a card for the Furry Friends challenge at the Simon Says Wednesday challenge.  The team highlighted Newton's Nook stamps this week so I made another Winston card and paired him with a Paper Smooches sentiment.  My background was inspired by Jeanne of A Kept Life who has made a bunch of brilliant cards with bright striped backgrounds that I LOVE like here, here and here.  Check out her blog if you never have - she has a fun, bright and cheery style.

Polar Skater

Hi there!

After a busy morning running around doing errands I managed to sneak a couple of hours in the Craft Cave.  I made this card for three challenges - Merry Monday, CAS Colours & Sketches and The Colour Throwdown.  I inked up this MFT polar bear for the first time and coloured him with Copics.  He's skating along on MFT's Ride the Wave dies which I thought were perfect for the sketch!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Dreams Do Come True

Hello!

I'm playing along today with the design from CAS(E) This Sketch.  Whenever I am stumped by a sketch I try turning it in different directions to see if that sparks any ideas.  In this case I turned the sketch 180 degrees and immediately saw a rainbow.  I used the My Favourite Things Stitched Arches to make the rainbow and layered a Neat and Tangled sentiment over it for a simple encouragement card.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White, Soft Stone) Papertrey Ink, (Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Sentiment from Dreams) Neat & Tangled

CASology #275

Welcome to Week 275 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

I finally got my hands on the Katzelkraft cat and dog stamps that I've been lusting after for ages and I thought this guy would be perfect for this week's cue.  Not only does he have sharp teeth and claws but he also has a sharp, sarcastic wit!

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!

Poinsettia Joy

Hello!

Today I'm sharing a Clean and Layered card for the challenge at The Card Concept.  I took my inspiration from the poinsettias, the wood table and the gold of the lights.  I spritzed some Brushos onto watercolor paper and once that dried I stamped the flower and leaves onto them.  I then fussy cut them, popped them up on foam tape and added a sparkly sentiment.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Basic Black) Stampin' Up, (Gold) DCWV
Patterned Paper:  (Woodgrain from Holly Berry Borscht 6x6) Jellybean Soup

Paws & Leaves

Hi there!

It's a long weekend for us here so I ignored all my chores today and hung out in the Craft Cave instead.  I got quite a few cards made and have two to share now.  First up is for Freshly Made Sketches with another appearance by one of the adorable new My Favourite Things Christmas pooches.  I paired him with some fun (and ancient) Pebbles paper and a Lil' Inker Designs pierced square.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Real Red) Stampin' Up
Patterned Paper:  (Christmas Stripes 12x12) Pebbles
Stamps:  (Dog & sentiment from Happy Pawlidays) My Favourite Things
Inks:  (VersaFine Onyx Black, Memento Tuxedo Black) Tsukeniko
Die:  (Pierced square) Lil' Inker Designs
Markers:  Copic
Glitter:  (White Wink of Stella) Zig
Gems:  Recollections

Next is a card for the Muse challenge inspired by Anita's creation.  I dug out some old leaf images from The Craft's Meow (sadly now closed) and used the Hero Arts autumn ombre ink pad to get a similar look to Anita's leaves.  A bit of green matting pays homage to the green on her design.

Supplies Used:
Cardstock:  (White) Papertrey Ink, (Old Olive) Stampin' Up
Stamps:  (Leaf & sentiment) The Craft's Meow
Inks:  (Ombre Autumn) Hero Arts

CASology #274

Welcome to Week 274 of CASology!  Take a look at the cue word for this week:

Yet again, this week's cue word set me off singing and this time it's Elton John's Tiny Dancer.  Clearly I didn't make a card with a dancer on it.  I actually made a baby card first.  But then I came across this Flora and Fauna set and decided a little butterfly with a tiny sentiment and gems was the way to go.  There's lots of Wink of Stella on the butterfly so it's nice and sparkly in real life.

Looking forward to seeing what direction the cue word takes you.  Check out the gorgeousness from the rest of the design team then play along!
